Tell us a little about yourself. I’m a machine operator (for now) in Addison. Garage/family mechanic in my spare time. I like watching movies/Netflix, building puzzles/playing board games, playing video games, learning new skills hanging out with friends.
How did you get into cars? A lot of influence was dad. He would ask me to help him out around the garage and working on the family vehicles. And I slowly started to wonder how things actually worked. And made it a hobby since like 5th grade I think.
What is your dream car? Money no issue? An Orange McLaren F1, or Bugatti Veyron. Something a little more sensible would be an R34 GT-R in Bayside Blue, Black or White Pearl. Or an Aspen White S204!! Definitely will own a Z06 sometime in my life!
What are your future plans for the car, and what do you like to do with it? I eventually want to Track/Autocross the car. My goal is not the fasted, but the a well rounded daily that can still kick ass.
What's your favorite thing about your car? I read this somewhere and I thought about this a lot…THE COMMUNITY!! My car is stock and people still ask me about it and seem curious about this or that. No other community comes even close to SUBARU!!
What is something that you don't like about your car? The clutch is slipping and the CEL is on. But that can be fixed. So I would say….seats!
What is your car like to drive? Slow! Haha, but no seriously, it’s slow. Jerry beat me at the Shootout just to put things in perspective. I love it though, I rather have fun in a slow car than not be able to push a fast car to its full potential.
What was your inspiration or objective with this build? Honestly….none. I would probably say my friend was egging me to buy a Subaru, and I saw this wagon for a really good price given the mileage it had. So I bought it. Don’t know how far the rabbit hole I’m willing to go yet.
Why did you choose a Subaru? A friend named Mike from Michigan. He had gone through like 4 Subarus when I met him and his straight piped wagon got me hooked. I loved what I thought was the racecar interior of the car.
What was your first car? First car I drove was a 1999 Kia Sephia which got junked because of a rust, the engine on that car ran without oil a number of times (not on my watch, this was later) and it never gave up. First car I bought was a 2005 Dodge Magnum R/T.
What makes your car special to you? The cruises, road trips, and adventures I’ve been in with it.
What is something about you (or your car) that no one else would know about? It has a stutter when flooring it.
Any memorable moments with you car that you would like to share? Driving with bald all seasons in the snow is a bad idea!
Any shout-outs to anyone who helped you along the way? I don’t think I’m far enough along the way yet to really say someone helped me get here. But through advice alone I think I can thank Dewey and Marvin for that. For being there for me and for being part of that Wagon Mafia, my special friends Joseph and Ty. And for introducing me to the local community, my friend Matt!!
