How did you get into cars? I don’t actually know how I got into cars. I’ve always found them fascinating and wanted to learn more. I went through my high school’s automotive program and really enjoyed it and wanted to keep going.
What is your dream car? My dream car within reach would be a R34 in blue. MUST BE BLUE! The dream car I’ll probably never own or drive would be a Koenigsegg Agera or One:1
What are your future plans for the car, and what do you like to do with it? As for as further plans for my car, I don’t have anything in mind. My car about where I wanted to be when I bought the car. Once summer comes around, I might do some minor suspension work.
What's your favorite thing about your car? My favorite thing about my car is how well it handles anything you throw at it. I’ve driven to and from autocross and ice racing and ran the car as is. I also like the twin scroll turbo. Power is there whenever you need it without having to downshift.
What is something that you don't like about your car? The thing I’m not a big fan of is the lack of port injectors. Those who know the FA and direct injection know what carbon build-up in. It’s annoying maintenance item that comes with the car.
What is your car like to drive? My car is an absolute blast to drive. I’ve let a couple friends drive it and they take every chance to get to drive it again. The intake and exhaust makes a great sound.
What was your inspiration or objective with this build? The objective for my build was something that was fun to drive as a daily and still be able to have fun on the weekends. I think I’ve achieved that goal.
Why did you choose a Subaru? I would definitely buy another Subaru.
What was your first car? My first car was a 1995 Toyota Corolla with a 3-speed automatic. It got me through high school and college.
What makes your car special to you? The Subaru is the first car I’ve ever purchased by myself. It is also the first car in my name.
What is something about you (or your car) that no one else would know about? Not a lot of people know that I learned how to drive stick the day I picked up my car from the dealer. The only other times I’ve driven stick was in a friends BWM the weekend before my car came in. He gave me an hour crash course on how to get the car moving in first gear. I had to learn the rest on the drive home. Stalled it about 20 times.
Any memorable moments with your car that you would like to share? The most memorable moment I have is walking into the dealer and seeing my car for the first time. They had the perfect lighting.
Any shout-outs to anyone who helped you along the way? I would like to give a huge shout-out to Jon, Norm, and Stanley for all the help getting my car to where it is today. There were a lot of late nights and endless discussions which parts to get. Couldn’t have done it without you guys. Also a huge thanks to Dewey for parts.
